Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
These lay people are sometimes referred to as Eucharistic Ministers. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve by bringing communion to parishioners who reside in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or in their own homes and unable to get to church. They also may assist the priest in distributing the Eucharist at Mass.

Ushers
These ministers are sometimes referred to as Greeters. Being a welcoming community is very important to us. Ushers are the first face of the parish. They greet those coming into our church, offer assistance to those in need, distribute parish bulletins, take up the collection, and distribute other materials as needed.

Sacristans
Sacristans assist, facilitate, and provide support and coordination for other liturgical ministries. In addition, they make the necessary preparations for liturgical activities.

Liturgical Committee
The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which her power flows. For the aim and object of apostolic works is that all who are made children of God by faith and baptism should come together to praise God in the midst of his Church, to take part in the sacrifice, and to eat the Lord's supper". (CSL #10)
Good liturgy is accomplished when the leaders of the prayer are attentive to its preparation in order to meet the needs of the worshipping community. To accomplish this end a Parish Liturgy Commission is recommended to ensure the fullest use of the liturgical ministries and the "full, conscious, active participation of the faithful." (CSL #14). We are reminded by the Bishops of the Second Vatican Council that "both in attitude and in practice, the liturgical life of a parish must be fostered among the faithful". (CSL #42)
